PETRA LINDHOLM “For Anne Marie”
Opening: Friday, April 1st, 2011, 19 h
The project is inspired by the artist’s great aunt Anne Marie, who lived in Finland in the beginning of the 1900s. Anne Marie's photographs of mountains views in the Alps were used as a starting point for Petra Lindholm's work. They have been adapted and coloured – shown as separate images, transformed onto textile in three dimensional objects and incorporated in a film. Petra Lindholm composed and performed the music for the film, and her song is slowly guiding us through this woman’s life story.
